RareSong, the First Coast Renaissance Ensemble, will present Greetings from the First Coast, a concert that will illustrate why that part of Florida has that nickname. Their program features Spanish and French vocal and instrumental music from the 16th century using recorders, violas da gamba, and harpsichord. They know that these transplanted Europeans brought a variety of musical instruments with them and they indulged in dances and social gatherings. They will evoke their spirit in our performance of lively and lyrical music.
